Kawanishi City, Hyogo Prefecture, has announced that it will change the date of its annual August “Inagawa Fireworks Festival” to November 7, 2026.
The Inagawa Fireworks Festival has been held jointly by Kawanishi City, Hyogo Prefecture, Ikeda City, Osaka Prefecture, and the Inagawa Fireworks Festival Organizing Committee, on the banks of the Inagawa River, which straddles Kawanishi City and Ikeda City. The Inagawa Fireworks Festival has been held every other year since 2025, when the event was postponed due to soaring prices. In addition, from the viewpoint of measures against heat stroke, it was decided to review the timing of the festival in the future, and from 2026, the 77th year of the festival, it will be held in November, when the weather is cooler.
Also, in consideration of daylight hours, the launch time will be moved up to start at 6:00 p.m. and end at 6:30 p.m. (previously it started at 7:30 p.m. and ended at 8:10 p.m.). This is expected to stimulate commercial facilities in the vicinity of Hankyu Kawanishi Noseguchi Station and Hankyu Ikeda Station after the fireworks display. The schedule for future events is as follows
