Mitsubishi Estate and Kajima Corporation will open a bustling facility named “Yard miyakojima” (550-7 Hirara Kugai Ageta, Miyakojima City, Okinawa Prefecture) on April 1, 2026, which has been developed in Miyakojima, Okinawa Prefecture as part of the “Miyakojima Touriver Area 2nd Phase Hotel Project (tentative name)”.
Access: 15 minutes by car from Miyako Airport and 25 minutes from Shimojijima Airport. The adjacent “Canopy by Hilton Okinawa Miyakojima Resort” is scheduled to open at the same time.
Eight stores from Miyako Island, Okinawa Prefecture, and Tokyo are scheduled to open at the facility, which will also feature a rooftop sunset terrace. The aim is to create a facility that can be widely used not only by hotel guests, but also by local residents and tourists. Each store will be surrounded by a courtyard decorated with plantings, where visitors can enjoy unique cultural experiences from Miyako Island and beyond.
