East Japan Railway Company (JR East) will hold a tie-up project with the TV animation “Jyu-jyu Kaisen” (Jyu-jyu Kaisen x East Japan Railway Company – East Japan Circuit) from December 17 to coincide with the third season of the series, “Nekketsu Kaiyou Part 1,” which will start on January 8, 2026, allowing visitors to enjoy the worldview of the work through tours of the Tokyo metropolitan area and Tohoku area. The Tohoku-Hokkaido Shinkansen (between Tokyo Station and Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station) will also operate a wrapped Shinkansen using the E5 Series (10 cars per train) from the same day.
The car body will feature a special design commemorating the 5th anniversary of the TV anime broadcast, in addition to visuals of the five characters appearing in “Shikonetsu Kaiyou Part 1”: Eugene Torajo, Megumi Fushikuro, Yuta Otokotsu, Tomei, and Naoya Zenin. The “Hayabusa,” “Hayate,” “Yamabiko,” and “Nasuno” trains will be in service until mid-May 2026.
During the period, a limited-edition voice content project using Sony’s acoustic AR application “Locatone” will also be conducted. Visitors to spots in the Tokyo metropolitan area (Tokyo Station, Ueno Station, Kanda Myojin, etc.), Tohoku Shinkansen section (five spots between Omiya and Sendai Stations), and Sendai area (Sendai Station, Honshiogama Station, etc.) will be able to hear the original voices of Eugene Toraje and Megumi Fushikuro linked to their location information.
In addition, those who fulfill the conditions of “Tours from the Tokyo metropolitan area” or “Tours from the Sendai area” will receive an original acrylic key chain with a limited quantity, and can also enjoy taking commemorative photos with the characters using an AR camera at certain spots.
In addition, a stamp rally using the station stamp application “EKI TAG” will be held at the same time, in which digital stamps will be placed at 12 stations (Hamamatsucho, Akihabara, Sendai, Morioka, Shin-Aomori, etc.) in the JR East area as the “4 boundaries” of East Japan (Tokyo, Sendai, Iwate, Aomori). Digital stamps will be placed at a total of 12 stations.
Depending on the number of stamps and areas, commemorative character stamps (in-app items) will be awarded according to the number of stamps earned. In addition, participants will be entered into a drawing to win a limited edition original poster and a poster signed by voice actor Junya Enoki for achieving the “Yujin Torajo Prize” and “Naoya SATOHIN Prize” and other conditions.
In addition, limited-edition original posters and character panels will be installed at five other stations (Sendai, Iwanuma, Tagajo, Morioka, and Shin-Aomori) to be enjoyed as photo spots.
