Courtyard by Marriott Kyoto Station to open next fall. A total of 270 rooms in a 3-minute walking distance from the station, and a Fresco store in the complex across Hachijo-dori Avenue.

JR Tokai has announced that the Courtyard by Marriott Kyoto Station hotel (19-1 Higashi-Kujo Higashi-Sanno-cho, Minami-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture) will open in the fall of 2026 and unveiled images of its interior. The hotel will be the JR Tokai Group’s second facility under the brand in Kyoto, following the Courtyard by Marriott Kyoto Shijo Karasuma, which opened in August.

The hotel is a 3-minute walk from the Hachijo East Exit of Kyoto Station, with a total of 270 rooms on 9 floors above ground and 1 below. The design concept is “Collection of Kyoto Stories” expressing the history and new stories of Kyoto. The guest rooms will be decorated with machiya motifs, and the walls will depict the mountains surrounding Kyoto. The entrance lobby will be lined with crafts, artwork and books to create a connection with culture.

The tenants scheduled to move into the “Kyoto Station East Complex Development Project,” which is currently underway across Hachijo-dori Avenue, will also be unveiled. Fresco Hachijo-guchi supermarket and TKP Garden City PREMIUM Kyoto Hachijo-guchi rental meeting rooms (both tentative names) will be opened.

The complex (36-7 Nishinomachi, Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture) is an eight-story building with a supermarket, café and multipurpose space on the first floor, rental conference rooms on the second and third floors, and NEG entrance and offices on part of the third floor and floors 4 to 8. This one is scheduled to open for business in 2028.
