Scoot to Launch Naha/Haneda-Singapore Route Soon; Black Friday Sale to Begin on 25th

Posted on November 23, 2025 by Editor in Chief

At the briefing, Mr. Hidetoshi Yasutake, who assumed the position of Japan Branch Manager on September 1, took the stage and introduced the features of the new routes and the company’s aircraft and services.

Starting with the Padang route in Indonesia in January 2025, the company has opened a series of new routes, with the Naha-Singapore route scheduled to begin service on December 15, and the Haneda-Singapore route scheduled to begin service on March 2, 2026. Currently, the airline has a network of more than 70 destinations in 18 countries and regions centered on Singapore, and this network is expected to expand to 80 destinations by the time the Haneda route is launched.

Singapore Airlines Group LCC Scoot held a briefing on November 21 to introduce updates since Corona.

Scoot’s Haneda-Singapore route (from March 2, 2026)

TR883: Haneda (02:15) to Singapore (08:30), daily

TR882: Singapore (17:30) to Haneda (01:00), daily

Mr. Yasutake noted that while there are many LCC flights between Narita and Singapore, there are still few flights to and from Haneda, and explained that “the Haneda flight departs at 2:15 a.m., so passengers can depart after work, and they should feel the value of departing from Haneda with an LCC. He also noted that the 8:30 a.m. arrival time allows for connections to most flights, making it easy to incorporate the flight into an itinerary that extends beyond Singapore.

Since Scoot is an LCC, checked baggage, in-flight meals, seat selection, etc. are basically treated as paid options, but it has added new options for “reservation change” and “reservation cancellation”.

Reservations can be changed up to four hours prior to departure for an unlimited number of dates and times (the difference must be paid), with an optional fee of 3,300 yen (for Haneda-Singapore flights). Reservations can be cancelled for any reason and will be refunded in the form of a company voucher. The option fee is 12% of the lowest fare or 3,800 yen (whichever is higher).

Scoot’s fleet consists mainly of Boeing 787s with over 300 seats (375-seat 787-9, 335-seat 787-8, and 329-seat 787-8) and Airbus A320 series aircraft with around 200 seats (180-seat A320ceo, 186-seat A320neo, and 236-seat A321neo The 787 series is mainly operated by the 787s, which have a two-class configuration with “Scoot Plus” leather seats with extra legroom and economy, and the A320s, which have a mono-class configuration with only economy.

Currently, all 787s are used on Japan routes, but the A321neo, which will enter service on December 15, will be used on these routes.

In 2024, the Embraer E190-E2 aircraft, with 112 mono-class seats, will be introduced for short-haul routes where 100 seats are sufficient. The E190-E2 will be added to the fleet in 2025, bringing the total number of aircraft in Scoot’s fleet to more than 50. And yet, the average age of the aircraft is very young, about 6 years.

Mr. Yasutake stated that the company’s fleet and services “will continue to strive to make our customers’ travel more comfortable by providing excellent travel and value for money.
