Starbucks Coffee Japan will open Starbucks Coffee JR Shin-Yokohama Station Shinkansen Down Platform 11, the first store on a Shinkansen platform in Japan, on November 21.
A new style store based on the concept of “Brewed to Go” will open at JR Shin-Yokohama Station near Shinkansen platforms 3 and 4, car 11 (Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen lines bound for Nagoya and Shin-Osaka).
It handles brewed coffee (three hot/two iced) and snacks (cookies, snacks, etc.), and by introducing an order panel and completely cashless payment, customers can speedily place orders even last minute before departure on a trip or business trip.
Hours of operation are 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. all days. Store area is 13.9 m2, no seating (take-out only).
