The Osaka Pavilion of the Japan International Exposition, Osaka Prefecture, and Osaka City will hold a “Myakmyak Departure Ceremony” from 11:00 to 11:30 on November 29 to mark the relocation of the Myakmyak Monument currently installed at the East Gate of Expo ’70 Osaka. The event will be held near the monument and is free of charge.
The event will be held on November 24, 2012 at 7:00 p.m., and the number of participants is limited to 1,000 people. The maximum number of participants is 1,000, and applications are limited to residents of Osaka Prefecture, with a maximum of four people per group, and in the event that there are too many applicants, a drawing will be held.
Applications are only accepted via the Web. Details are posted on the official website of the Osaka Prefectural Government, but the application process will be temporarily suspended (link will be closed) in case of heavy access. Winners will be announced on November 25 (no notification will be made in case of unsuccessful applicants).
The day’s program will include an opening dance by Avangyaldi, greetings by the Governor of Osaka Prefecture and the Mayor of Osaka City, a video review of the Osaka Health Care Pavilion, and a photo session with the performers. Performers will include Avant Gardie, the Governor of Osaka Prefecture, the Mayor of Osaka City, and the Osaka Health Care Pavilion mascot character “Mozu-yan.
