The 3rd Plenary Meeting of the Platform on Social Security, Disability and Development Sector | News

We are pleased to announce the 3rd Plenary Session of the Platform on Social Security, Disability and Development. This plenary session will include a keynote speech by Mr. Hiroyasu Ito, Chairman of the Japan Abilities Association, a non-profit organization, a report on the Platform’s activities to date and a sharing of future directions, as well as time to discuss with members the study sessions and other activities for the coming year.

We hope this will be an opportunity for people active in diverse fields to come together and learn from each other’s experiences.

If you wish to attend, please register as an individual or group member of the Social Security, Disability and Development Platform before registering and filling out the pre-registration questionnaire. Members may participate only by registering. For group members, anyone who belongs to an organization is welcome to attend.

Lecturer: Mr. Hiroyasu Ito

Biography: President of the non-profit organization “Japan Abilities Association”.

Chairman and President of “Abilities Care Net, Inc.”

Advisor to the Japan Physical Therapy Association.

Councilor of the “Japan Rehabilitation Foundation, College of Social Medicine and Technology”.

He has served as Vice Chairman of the Non-Discrimination Subcommittee of the Committee on Disability Policy, Cabinet Office, and as Visiting Professor at the School of Human Sciences, Waseda University.

Mr. Ito will talk about the steps he took to launch his business and the challenges and lessons he has faced so far, focusing on his practical efforts to balance social inclusion and business for people with disabilities. He will also share advice and perspectives from the perspectives of social inclusion, business, and collaboration for members who are active in the field of international cooperation.
