Kinki Nippon Railway announced the special trains that will operate at the beginning of the year 2026.
On New Year’s Day, all-night service will be provided on the Osaka Line (between Osaka Uehonmachi Station and Nabari Station), Nara Line (between Osaka Namba Station and Kintetsu Nara Station), Kyoto Line/Kashihara Line (between Kyoto Station and Kashihara Jingu-mae Station), Tenri Line (between Yamato Saidaiji Station and Tenri Station), Yamada Line/Toba Line (between Ise-Nakagawa Station and Isuzu River Station) and Ikoma Kosaku Line (between Toriimae Station and Hozanji Station). On the Osaka Line, limited express trains will also run all night between Osaka Namba Station and Osaka Uehonmachi Station.
Special trains are also available from midnight on New Year’s Eve to early morning on New Year’s Day on routes other than those listed above (with some exceptions), and limited express trains will operate in the direction of Isuzugawa Station, Kintetsu Nara Station, and Kashihara Jingumae Station. Some trains will use Series 8000 “Hinotori” trains.
In addition, on January 1 to 4 and 10 to 12, extra trains will be operated toward Isuzugawa Station on the Nagoya and Osaka Lines, and on January 1 to 3, the same operation will be conducted toward Kashihara-jingumae Station on the Minami-Osaka Line.
Express tickets for trains operating from December 31 to January 4 will be sold uniformly from 10:30 a.m. on December 1.
