Sanko Inn announced the opening of “Sanko Inn Grande Kumamoto (tentative name)” (Shimodori 2-chome, Chuo-ku, Kumamoto City) as the first business hotel in Kyushu, where it is developing its business. Construction is scheduled to begin in January 2026, with opening scheduled for the fall of 2027.
The planned site is located about a 4-minute walk from the “Karashimacho” stop of the Kumamoto City Tram, and is situated in the “Shimodori” area, the largest downtown area in the city. It is also located near the Kumamoto Sakura-cho bus terminal, one of the largest bus terminals in Kyushu, and is about a 15-minute walk from Kumamoto Castle, making it a convenient location for both sightseeing and business in the city.
The facility is planned to have a large public bath, outdoor hot spring, sauna, and bathhouse on the top 11 floors, and a breakfast lounge for the exclusive use of guests on the first floor. There will be 140 guest rooms of various types to meet the needs of families, groups, business travelers, inbound travelers, and others.
