ANA, a new member of “THE CONNOISSEURS” supervising in-flight meals in Japanese and Western languages. Offered in Business Class on European and U.S. Routes

Posted on November 18, 2025 by Editor in Chief

ANA announced the addition of two new chefs to THE CONNOISSEURS, which supervises in-flight meals and beverages for international flights.

THE CONNOISSEURS is comprised of renowned chefs from Japan and abroad, wine and sake professionals, and ANA’s exclusive chefs. The menu supervised by a total of 16 chefs will be offered in first and business class on flights from Japan to Europe and the United States.

Shujin Sugita, who will supervise Western-style menus for business class flights from Japan to Europe and the United States from December to February 2026, is building on the skills he honed at SÉZANNE. He has attracted attention for his sensitivity to the times while inheriting tradition, and was appointed Chef de Cuisine at Ginza L’ecrin, a renowned French restaurant, in October.

Yasunori Kitajima, who will supervise the Japanese menu for business class flights from Japan to Europe and the United States from September to November 2026, opened Kamakura Kitajima in May 2021 after 16 years of study at the famous Kyoto cuisine restaurant WAKUDEN. He offers Japanese cuisine that makes the most of the local bounty.

ANA offers an in-flight meal advance reservation service, which ensures that the desired menu is served if the reservation is made at least 24 hours prior to departure. This service also covers this supervised menu.
