JR East Hotels will open “Suica no Penguin Private Living Room” at JR East Hotel Mets Premier Sapporo (2-5-3, Kita 7 Nishi, Kita-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido), limited to one pair per day. The period is from December 13 to March 31, 2026. Prior to the event, the hotel is accepting reservations on its website.
One room on the second floor of the hotel, located a two-minute walk from JR Sapporo Station, was arranged as a Suica penguin concept room. The interior design of the room features Suica penguin-designed furnishings, as well as wood and brick decorations, to create a Scandinavian atmosphere. Novelty original room keys and original drawstring are available for each guest to take home as a memento of their trip.
Room rates start at 36,000 yen per room for two people and include a Japanese-style buffet breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant, Source72 (Source). Check-in starts at 3:00 p.m. and check-out is by 11:00 p.m.
