The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a Record of Discussions (R/D) with the government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia on October 31, in Addis Ababa, the capital of the country, on the technical cooperation project “EWTI Technical Service Improvement and Capacity Building Project. EWTI, which stands for Ethiopian Water Technology Institute, is an organization responsible for human resource development in the water supply sector in Ethiopia. The R/D was signed between Mr. Tamene Hail, President of EWTI, and Mr. Hiroyuki Yakushi, Director of JICA Ethiopia Office.
