Takarajimasya will release “MOOMIN Matsuya Ginza Shopping Tote Book” today, November 13. The price is 4389 yen.
The collaboration was realized to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the publication of the Moomin novels and the 100th anniversary of the Matsuya Ginza store. The shopping tote bag is designed as a reprint of the late Showa period paper bag design of Matsuya Ginza, reproducing the square form of the paper bag in a thick and resilient bright blue fabric.
The front pocket features the “M” mark, the Matsuya logo of the time, and the front and back sides have adorable artwork of the Moomins enjoying shopping. With a large capacity of approximately 34 x 13 x 34 cm (W x D x H), the bag is recommended not only for shopping, but also for work, the gym, and activities that require extra luggage.
