JICA President Akihiko Tanaka met with His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn al-Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on November 10 in Tokyo.
At the beginning of the meeting, King Abdullah II expressed his gratitude for JICA’s cooperation in Jordan, and both sides exchanged views on the recent situation in the Middle East, including the reconstruction of Gaza, and future cooperation with Jordan.
His Majesty the King also expressed his hope for JICA’s support for the desalination project and for cooperation in providing assistance to Gaza and Syria.
Both parties confirmed that they will make efforts to further strengthen relations between the two countries in light of the changing situation in the Middle East and other regions.
