The Blue Cave SHIBUYA Executive Committee will hold the “Blue Cave SHIBUYA” illumination event from December 4 to 25 (lights will be on from 5:00 to 10:00 pm).
A winter festival in which a 900-meter stretch from Shibuya Park Avenue to the zelkova trees in Yoyogi Park is illuminated with blue light. A total of 94 bulbs, amounting to approximately 500,000 bulbs, are installed.
The theme for 2025 is “Blue Cave THE SNOWMAN” featuring a giant glowing snowman. The giant balloon, which was popular last year, will evolve into a snowman this year, creating a more friendly and warm worldview.
Fantastic images of snow, stars, and the Northern Lights will be projected onto the balloons, with different expressions depending on the viewing angle and time of day. The balloons will also feature background music, creating a space that can be enjoyed by a wide range of people, including families, couples, and tourists. More details will be released on the special site as they become available.
