Asuka III Announces First Long Cruise, Circumnavigating Japan in 23 Days, Two Courses Departing from Yokohama/Kobe

Yusen Cruises has announced the “2026 Round-Japan Discovery Cruise,” the first 23-day long cruise on the Asuka III cruise ship. (The cruise will offer a total of two courses: (A) Departure from Yokohama to Tokyo and (B) Departure from Kobe to Kobe.

Trip fee (per person for both A and B courses, based on double occupancy)

Aska Balcony D: Normal 1,930,000 yen~, Member 1,544,000 yen~.

Royal Penthouse: Normal 10,290,000 yen, Member 8,232,000 yen

Information sessions will be held in Nagoya, Tokyo, Fukuoka, and Osaka from November to December.

Asuka Cruises will celebrate its 35th anniversary in 2026, and the first Asuka III long cruise, launched on July 20, 2025, will connect a total of 14 prefectures and 15 ports (including ports of embarkation and disembarkation) from Hokkaido to Okinawa.

In addition to the three most scenic spots in Japan (Miyajima, Amanohashidate, and Matsushima) and Hondo (Amakusa) in Kumamoto Prefecture, which will be the first port for the vessel, the departure time will be set at night in Nagasaki and Hakodate, which are famous for their night views. The ship will anchor overnight in Hiroshima and Kanazawa.

While cruising, the boat will guide passengers to the most scenic spots seen from the sea, such as the beauty of the Hiroshima Bay archipelago, the Kanmon Straits passages, and the Tokara Islands in southern Kyushu. In addition, to commemorate the first arrival of the Choshu Dejima at Shimonoseki Port, an original fireworks display will be set off at the time of departure from the port.

Other events are also planned, such as special stage performances by NAOTO and Kotaro Oshio, and lectures by Japanese painter Reiichi Tsuchiya and others.
