Navitime Japan has added a “Park and Ride Route” function to its “Drive Supporter” smartphone application.
When searching for a route to a theme park or large commercial facility as a destination, the system suggests a route to take a train from the previous train station. In addition to being able to compare congestion and parking fees for roads and parking lots around the destination from up to three different routes, users can also switch to the “NAVITIME” application and use the train timetable and voice navigation for free.
