Lilo Hotels & Resorts’ hot spring inn Akiuofuga (40-2 Yumoto Yakushi, Akiu-cho, Taihaku-ku, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture) will add one new Western-style room with a half-open-air bath and three Western-style twin rooms, and offer them from April 19.
Located about 30 minutes from Sendai Station by car, the inn features facilities for an “adult night owl” experience, including a private open-air bath where you can hear the murmuring of the Natori River, a Finnish sauna, and a bar where you can enjoy a parfait or mocktail after taking a bath. The hotel is also offering a special commemorative plan to mark the first anniversary of its opening on April 24, and has expanded its selection of guest rooms to a total of 24 rooms, including the newly added rooms.
The commemorative plan offers a flat rate of 1,000 yen off the regular price, and as a bonus, a free craft beer from Great Dane Brewing, a newly opened U.S.-based brewery in Akiu Onsen, for the number of guests. For dinner, guests will be offered a creative kaiseki course featuring teppan-yaki steaks and other local ingredients that go well with sake, and in the morning, a Japanese breakfast set that allows guests to compare two types of white rice cooked in a kettle.
Room rates start at 23,200 yen per person per night including dinner and breakfast (based on double occupancy).
