News Technology and S.RIDE are operating a limited series of 100 “SAND LAND Taxis” in Tokyo until April 7 to commemorate the release of the new anime series based on Akira Toriyama’s novel.
This special project utilizes two fully wrapped vehicles with “SAND LAND” characters “Beelzebub” and “Thief” designed on the vehicle exterior and 98 cabs with “SAND LAND” creativity projected on the mobility vehicle window media “Canvas”.
The first 15 minutes of the first episode of “SAND LAND: THE SERIES” will be shown on the “GROWTH” in-train tablet, and a limited number of originally designed commemorative certificates will be given away.
The target area is the 23 wards of Tokyo, Musashino and Mitaka districts, and the probability of encountering a “SAND LAND cab” is 0.2% (100 out of 44,577 vehicles in Tokyo); only 98 Canvas vehicles will accept designated cab dispatch via the “S.RIDE” cab app (Android/iOS version).
