Phase I of reconstruction of the North Wing of Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport TOKYO-BAY to reopen in the fall of 2025, increasing the number of stores to approximately 100 stores on three floors.

Posted on March 25, 2024 by News Admin

Mitsui Fudosan announced that it will begin construction of the first phase of the phased construction of the “Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport TOKYO-BAY North Building Reconstruction Project” in Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture, which is currently underway.

The total floor area will increase from 94,500 m2 to 103,100 m2, and the number of stores will increase from approximately 70 to approximately 100 when Phase I is completed. In addition, a food court and restaurant zone will be combined on the third floor to create one of the largest food zones in Chiba Prefecture. Harbor Street, the symbol of the facility, will be renewed as a lively street.

In Phase II (number of stores to be determined), an artificial grass plaza will be constructed on Harbor Street, creating a place for relaxation through outdoor seasonal events, a marché, and kitchen cars. In addition, a new indoor stadium court will be built in conjunction with LaLa arena TOKYO-BAI, a large-scale multipurpose arena scheduled to open in the spring of 2024, to promote urban development utilizing the power of sports and entertainment in the Minami Funabashi area.

Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport TOKYO-BAY North Tower is located at 2-1-1 Hamamatsu, Funabashi, Chiba, a five-minute walk from Minami Funabashi Station on the JR Keiyo and Musashino lines.
