Japanese-style Hotel Yamatoya Honten (2-17-4 Shimanouchi, Chuo-ku, Osaka City, Osaka) opened the Dotonbori Sauna, a fully private sauna overlooking Dotonbori, on March 21.
The sauna is located in an open space on the hotel’s rooftop, where visitors can enjoy an authentic Finnish-style barrel sauna with temperatures set at around 100°C, a self-launching sauna with aroma, and a water bath using Japanese cypress wood.
The rest area is equipped with a free coffee machine and a refrigerator with paid drinks. Sauna hats, ponchos, and towels are provided in the powder room with shower booths, and hair irons can be borrowed if you let them know when you check in.
Families, couples, groups of friends, etc. can rent out the entire floor where the sauna is located, and can also use it for events to enjoy an extraordinary experience or for small parties to enjoy drinks. After the sauna, guests can use the hotel’s large public baths free of charge for an unlimited period of time.
As a campaign to celebrate the opening, reservations made until April 3 will receive a 1,000 yen discount.
