Moomin Valley Park to host “Moomin Valley and Umbrellas. 200-meter-long Umbrella Sky Road and other features inspired by Moominmama.

Posted on March 21, 2024 by News Admin

Moomin Valley Park (327-6 Miyazawa, Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture), operated by Moomin Story, will hold “Moomin Valley and Umbrellas” from April 19 to July 7, featuring approximately 1,000 umbrellas.

The event has become a hot topic every year for its photogenic spectacle, and the design concept for the fifth event is “Moominmamma”. Guests will be greeted by Moomin Valley friends holding umbrellas and umbrellas in colors inspired by the gentleness and warmth of Moominmamma, her apron, and her cherished roses.

During the period, the entire park will be decorated with umbrellas, including the “Umbrella Sky Road,” a 200-meter-long stretch of colorful umbrellas covering the entire length of the park from the Beginning Cove area to the Moomin Valley area, as well as stores and restaurants.

After the event, the plastic umbrellas on display will be reborn as goods from Mondo Design’s upcycled brand PLASTICITY.
