HOTEL R9 The Yard Kurobe is a hotel using a construction container module. Adjacent to the roadside station “KOKO Kurobe”, the hotel is conveniently located for access to “Kurobe Gorge” and “Unazuki Onsen”, with “Hot Spring Facility FUROBAKKA” and “Kurobe City General Park” in the vicinity.
The 13m2 guest room is quiet and private, as it does not have a wall adjacent to the room next door. The rooms are also equipped with a bed/unit bath/refrigerator-freezer/microwave/humidifying air purifier, ensuring simple but sufficient comfort.
This hotel was planned based on the experience of the Great East Japan Earthquake, and it also serves as a “rescue hotel” that can be used as an evacuation facility by promptly relocating guest rooms to the disaster area in the event of an emergency. In fact, during the spread of the new coronavirus infection that began in 2020, the hotel was relocated to a private hospital in the Kanto region and used as a PCR testing facility.
