Ace Luggage is offering the “N700 Series Type A Tokaido Shinkansen Window Recycling Shell Suitcase” for pre-order on Make (Macauke). The period is until May 7.
Two sizes are available: the “CABIN” (36 x 24 x 54 cm) with a 35 L capacity and carry-on compatible, and the “MIDDLE” (45 x 26 x 64 cm) with a 61 L capacity. Two colors, white and blue, symbolizing the Tokaido Shinkansen bullet train, will be available.
The CABIN is priced at 68,200 yen and the MIDDLE at 71,500 yen, with a 30% off super early bird discount, a 20% off early bird discount, and a 10% off Makuake discount, and products will be shipped sequentially from late May.
The body of the suitcase is made of 30% granulated (pellet) windows from the Tokaido Shinkansen’s N700 Series typeA regular cars.
Although the material used for bullet train windows is polycarbonate, the same material used for ordinary suitcases, it is processed to be thick and hard, making it difficult to absorb shock from many directions.

The zipper pocket in the interior of the suitcase and the ticket holder, which can hold multiple Seishun 18 Ticket and other tickets, are made of reused “velvet” or “velvet” seat fabric.
The fabric in the shape of a seat was returned to its flat state, and then cut while taking into consideration the fabric width and pattern direction, so that remnants of actual use, such as stitches and frayed areas of the fabric, can be felt.
In addition, an L-shaped corner of “recycled aluminum” taken from a Tokaido Shinkansen train car will be processed using a press machine and mounted as a Shinkansen silhouette badge with two lines symbolizing the N700 Series typeA.
