Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, will hold a “Picture Prediction Campaign” in conjunction with the installation of the first “Gundam manhole” in the prefecture. The campaign will run from March 8 to 24.

The manholes were donated through a project by the Namco Bandai Group’s “Gundam Project. To commemorate the donation, a campaign will be held in conjunction with the “Hello! Carbon Neutral Project,” a collaboration between Toyota City and “Mobile Suit Gundam.

Those who guess the mobile suits to be depicted on the Gundam manhole and enter the contest will win limited-edition goods and other prizes. Two winners drawn by lot will receive a stainless steel mug with an original illustration handwritten by Kazuhisa Kondo, mechanical designer of “Mobile Suit Z Gundam” (resident of Toyota City). Ten entrants drawn by lot will receive a stainless steel mug as a participation prize.

You can participate by printing out the application form or by filling out the form located in the atrium on the first floor of the Toyota Sangokan and dropping it into the application box at the museum. Entries can also be submitted via Toyota City’s official X (@Toyota_city_PR).

Please check the campaign page for details.

The Gundam manholes will be installed on April 11 at two locations: near the south plaza of the GAZA Building (2-144 Kita-cho, Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture) and on the grounds of the Asuke Branch Office (27-3 Miyanogo, Asuke-cho). An unveiling event will be held prior to the installation.
