Chiba Station Building announced that Toyosuna Umikaze Plaza, Toyosuna Train P318, and Makuhari Toyosuna BBQ Beer Garden will open in front of Makuhari Toyosuna Station on March 15, and JR East Hotel Mets Premier Makuhari Toyosuna and Share Cycle Station on March 25. This project is part of the “Beyond Stations Initiative” jointly promoted by JR East, Chiba Station Building, and Nippon Hotel. The Toyosu Umikaze Plaza, which will open on March 15, is designed to promote interaction between the station, the plaza, and the city, with a pedestrian walkway connecting the station, the plaza, and the city. Surrounding the plaza are three facilities: Toyosuna Train P318, Makuhari Toyosuna BBQ Beer Garden, and JR East Hotel Mets Premier Makuhari Toyosuna. The Toyosuna Train P318 (Train Operation Experience House) is a trailer house-type facility based on the JR Keiyo Line, with three “JR East Train Simulators” that faithfully reproduce the cab of an E233 Series train and a “Railway Diorama” using HO-gauge model trains inside.
