Toei Bus will change the mode of operation of its bus routes to accommodate traffic restrictions for the Tokyo Marathon 2023 to be held on March 3.
The service will be shortened, rerouted, or suspended in a wide range of areas, including central Shinjuku, Minato, Shinagawa, and Chiyoda wards, as well as Shibuya, Ueno, Asakusa, Ikebukuro, Koto-ku, and the bay area, depending on the time of day. As a result, some stops will be suspended and temporary stops will be set up in some areas.
The company also notes that other systems may not be able to operate as scheduled due to road congestion and other factors on the day of the event.
