Tokyo’s Minato Ward will be the first in Japan to install manholes with the design of “Sailor Moon,” a character with strong ties to the local area.
The film is set in Minato Ward, and features the Azabu Juban area where the main character, Usagi Tsukino, and her friends lead their daily lives, as well as Tokyo Tower, Shiba Park, and many other places in the ward.
A total of five types of manhole designs will be installed by the end of March. The manhole maps and souvenirs will be distributed to attract visitors to Minato City and promote tourism.
