JR West will conduct a verification experiment of “pikuraku PORTER,” a new baggage delivery service using smart lockers, as a new service following the current “pikuraku” service, in which customers receive items purchased on e-commerce sites at smart lockers, from March 4, 2012. The verification experiment will be conducted from March 4, 2012.
The verification experiment will be conducted in the Onomichi area and Osaka area, with the joint participation of SPACER, a smart locker development company.
pikuraku PORTER is a service that allows customers to deposit their luggage at smart lockers installed at train stations and other locations during the accepted hours and have it delivered to the hotel where they are staying by the evening of the same day. All you have to do is operate the locker’s touch panel to deposit your luggage and specify the hotel where you will be staying to enjoy sightseeing without any luggage.
