NEXCO West Japan Shikoku Regional Office will open the Toon Smart IC on the Matsuyama Expressway (E11), which has been under construction with Toon City, Ehime Prefecture, at 15:00 on March 23.
It is located in Takubo, Toon City, between the Kawauchi IC and the Matsuyama IC, and can be accessed from City Highway Highway Side Road No. 1 and City Highway Side Road No. 2. The distance between the Kawauchi IC and the Toon Smart IC will be 3.4 km, and the distance between the Toon Smart IC and the Matsuyama IC will be 8.6 km.
The Toon Smart IC is available 24 hours a day and all directions in and out, and is compatible with all types of vehicles equipped with ETC. The regular car fare for the main section is 400 yen between the Toon Smart IC and Matsuyama IC, 1260 yen between the Toon Smart IC and Imabari Yunoura IC of Imabari Komatsu Road, 4370 yen between the Toon Smart IC and Tokushima IC of Tokushima Expressway, 4630 yen between the Toon Smart IC and Naruto IC of Takamatsu Expressway, and 3570 yen between the Toon Smart IC and Kochi Expressway. 4630 yen between Toon Smart IC and Kochi IC/JCT on Kochi Expressway.
The improvement is expected to alleviate traffic congestion on Route 33 and other roads, increase the number of tourists to facilities near the smart IC, and improve accessibility in terms of logistics, medical activities, and in the event of a disaster.
