Rakuten Group announced “Rakuten Travel Award 2023” and “Rakuten Travel Japanese Inn Award 2023” based on the past year’s performance and evaluation, as well as “Rakuten Travel Regional Creation Award 2023” to recognize municipalities that have selected the most Rakuten Travel coupon returns through Rakuten Furusato Tax.
In the Rakuten Travel Awards, which are open to all accommodation facilities, 103 facilities received the Gold Award, 101 received the Silver Award, and 598 received the Bronze Award. The “Hotel & Ryokan of the Year” award, which was established the previous year to recognize even superior facilities among the Gold Award winners, was given to 10 facilities this year.
In the “Japanese Inn Awards,” which are only for facilities in the leisure category, the first place in each prefecture was awarded as “TOP47,” and awards were given to 188 other highly rated facilities.
In addition to the top three Gold Award winners, this year’s awards were newly presented to seven Silver Award winners and 12 Bronze Award winners.
