Booking.com has released its list of the 10 Coziest Travel Destinations in Japan, based on the percentage of 15,511 accommodations that won the Traveller Review Awards 2024 based on more than 309 million word-of-mouth reviews.
The city with the highest percentage is Niseko Town (Hokkaido), which was not ranked in the top 10 in 2023, but overtook the Kyushu area (Minami-Oguni Town in 2023 and Yakushima Island in 2022), which was ranked first continuously at the time.
The cities selected for this year’s top 10 list have all improved their rankings compared to 2023, and many of them are areas where people can enjoy rich nature and hot springs.
