The General Insurance Association of Japan (GIAJ) published the “Nationwide Traffic Accident Intersection Map” to prevent and reduce the number of traffic accidents.

Noting that more than half of all personal injury accidents occur at or near intersections and junctions, the report was prepared with the cooperation of local newspapers nationwide and is based on traffic accident data for the year 2022.
