Venus Travel, a member of the SHK Line Group, has launched the “Hokkaido Gastronomic Drive Package” on the New Nihonkai Ferry. The package is available from departure on March 21 to return on May 31 (no boarding from April 26 to May 6).
This 4-day plan includes round-trip boat and passenger car transportation fees to/from Akita Port, and one night at a local hotel (the Ocent Hotel Otaru). You can also freely plan your own itinerary from the time you check out of your hotel until you depart from Tomakomai East Port (up to 18 days).
Private rooms (state/deluxe) are available on board the Shin Nihonkai Ferry for both roundtrips, and pets can be brought along for an extra fee. Grilled lunch will be served on the outbound journey (4,500 yen multi-coupon for March boarding), and original goods will be given as a gift.
At Otaru, the New Nihonkai Ferry Port of Call Gastronomic Dinner, commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Akita service, includes Hokkaido hairy crabs, Akita shorthorn wagyu beef loin, and assorted sushi from the port of call.
