On January 29, Ikaros Shuppan released “Koku Ryoko vol. 48 (2024 WINTER),” an A4-size, 128-page book priced at 1,740 yen.

The two special features are “Aspiring First Class” and “Domestic Travel 2024.

The first class feature introduces in detail the first class cabin of JAL’s new international flagship, the Airbus A350-1000, which began service on January 24 on the Haneda-New York route, as well as the “Suite” of Singapore Airlines, ANA’s “THE Suite,” and other airlines with a reputation for service. The article also covers the first class cabins of airlines with a reputation for service, such as Singapore Airlines’ “Suites” and ANA’s “THE Suite,” along with actual flight experiences.

Other topics will include an explanation of first class on airlines to and from Japan, and the use of round-the-world airline tickets as a realistic means of flying first class.

The second special feature, domestic flights, summarizes how domestic flight service is now after the Corona disaster, with reports on trips flown to Okuizumo by JAL and Miyakojima by ANA.

The report also covers the experience of Star Flyer’s “FLY WITH PET!”, which allows passengers to ride in the cabin with their pets. The report covers the entire process from reservation to arrival at the destination, using plenty of photos.

This will be the last issue of the quarterly magazine, and from now on, the main activities of the magazine will be AIRLINE web, which will be launched jointly with its sister magazine “Monthly Airline,” and SNS, and the paper version will be published twice a year. The next issue of the paper version will be released at the end of July with a brushed-up version of the concept that makes readers want to travel on airplanes.
