JR West and Keihan Railway will start selling a special ticket “Murasaki Shikibu/Otsu Meguri Pass (Go with ICOCA)” on the smartphone application “KANSAI MaaS” from January 29, 2012. The price is 3,500 yen.

Digital ticket commemorating the opening of “To the Luminous Kimi, Biwako Otsu Taiga Drama Museum” and “The Tale of Genji: Love is a Thing” exhibition at Ishiyamadera Temple (1-1-1 Ishiyamadera, Otsu City).

The “Murasaki Shikibu Otsu Round Trip Ticket,” which includes a ticket for the facility and Keihan train and bus tickets, is combined with a JR ticket, allowing unlimited rides for one day on JR’s Kinki area conventional lines (some of them), Keihan Train Otsu Line and Keihan Bus Ishiyama Station – Ishiyamaji Sanmon-mae.

Tickets will be available for one day between January 29 and March 31, and will be sold from one month prior to the date of use until 12:00 p.m. on the day of use. Ticket vending machines and Midori-no madoguchi (ticket window) at stations will not sell tickets.

To use JR, you need to register your ICOCA with KANSAI MaaS in advance and register for the WESTER Point Service at a station ticket vending machine or ICOCA application. The equivalent amount is returned in WESTER points (charge-only) at the end of the following month.

In addition, visitors can take advantage of the “Murasaki Shikibu Otsu Round Trip Ticket” offer, which provides discounts on admission and other fees to Enryakuji Temple on Hieizan. Before using the ticket, you need to pick up the ticket at Keihan Yamashina/Ishiyama/Zensho/Otsukyo/Biwako-Hamaotsu Stations.
