Akafuku “Isuzu Chaya” to sell new azuki financier/strawberry rice cake/chocolate rice cake for the first time in Kyushu area

Akafuku will open a Japanese/Western confectionery store “Isuzu Chaya” at the 61st National Famous Ekiben and Good Food Fair at Tsuruya Department Store Honkan (6-1 Tetorihonmachi, Chuo-ku, Kumamoto City) to sell special Akafuku mochi. The event will be held from January 24 to February 13.

Also, new products “SAN SEN azuki”, “SAN SUN strawberry rice cake”, and “SAN SUN chocolate rice cake”, which will be available for the first time in the Kyushu region, will be on sale until January 29.

The “Sen” is a financier made with rice flour dough blended with Koshi An (sweet red bean paste) and sprinkled with Azuki (red bean paste). Priced at 900 yen for 3 pieces or 1,800 yen for 6 pieces. San (San) is a bite-size Japanese confectionary consisting of a rice cake wrapped in strawberry red bean paste from Mie Prefecture and chocolate red bean paste with a mild, bittersweet flavor. Prices are 900 yen for 3 pieces and 1,500 yen for 5 pieces.
