Walt Disney Japan will release popular annual cherry blossom motif items at Disney Store on January 26.
The new items are cherry blossom-colored items with a lovely soft pink color. The theme of this gorgeous series is “dozing off in the spring sun while gazing at cherry blossoms in full bloom”, and you can feel the spring in your hands as soon as you hold it.
Disney Flagship Tokyo, Disney Store Tokyo Disney Resort Store, and Disney Store.jp, the official online store of Disney, will start pre-sales on January 23.
The “Plushie M” (4,200 yen each) includes Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Stitch, and Marie, the “fashionable cat. All of them are adorable with round eyes and dozing figures. The soft, cherry blossom-colored body and cherry blossom petals on the neck and bottom will make your heart warm and fuzzy.
The “Plush Key Chains” (2,200 yen each), starring palm-sized plush toys, include not only Pooh and his friends, but also Lotso from the “Toy Story” series and Mei the Lesser Panda from the movie “Mei tokidoki red panda! The dreamy and cute expressions are irresistibly cute, and the poses of each character are different, so be sure to take a look.
And there’s a fun little detail: when the plush keychains are lined up, they become gradated. Each item is subtly interlocked with the other, making them all worth collecting! The petals that have been scattered around are also a point of interest.
Also on sale at the same time are a “cup and saucer” (2,500 yen) with a cherry blossom form plate, perfect for home time, and a “tissue box cover” (4,400 yen) that will make you smile at the relaxing style of Pooh. These items will allow you to casually add a touch of spring color to your room.
The “eco bag” (1,400 yen), which can be used for outings, is designed with an illustration of Pooh and Piglet snuggled up under a cherry blossom tree. The pen case (3,000 yen) features petals fluttering on the head and Pooh’s expression.
The “Gion Tsujiri Cookie” (1,600 yen) is a spring-like package that can be used not only as a treat for yourself at tea time, but also as a small gift. The cookies are a joint project with Uji tea specialty store Ujiicha Gion Tsujiri in Gion, Kyoto, and contain “POLCOCON,” a green tea-flavored cookie with a crunchy texture.
