BEAMS will collaborate with Ziploc to launch the Ziploc Design Bag Ribbon nationwide on March 1, with pre-sales scheduled to begin on January 24. 40-piece medium size and 26-piece large size bags are available, both priced at 768 yen.
The Ziploc itself features a design with a ribbon on it to suggest its use in gift-giving situations. The ribbon and the pink logo of the Ziploc are drawn by Tomoko Yamaguchi, an artist in charge of planning for BEAMS BOY who also designs original clothing and textiles.
A pop-up store event “Ziploc Ribbon Cafe” will be held at BEAMS JAPAN (Shinjuku) from January 24 to February 14 and at SHINPUKAN (Kyoto) from February 22 to March 6 to celebrate the release. The event will feature the pre-sale of this item and the limited sale of two collaboration items (tote bag and umbrella).
