Marriott International opened its ninth hotel in Japan, the Nagasaki Marriott Hotel (1-1 Onoe-cho, Nagasaki City, Nagasaki Prefecture).

Located on the upper floors (7th to 13th) of the station building directly connected to JR Nagasaki Station, the hotel features 207 rooms with views of Mount Inasa, Nagasaki Port, and the cityscape. 13 types of rooms in 5 categories, all over 362 m2, two-thirds of which are premium rooms and suites with balconies. Of these, the Imperial Suite, one of the largest in Kyushu, boasts 242m2 of space.

Each room is a modern space with cerulean blue accents and natural-toned interiors, and is equipped with beds that focus on convenience and comfort, flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, and other amenities.

The exterior of the hotel is based on the motif of a cruise ship, and Kume Sekkei designed the interior with the theme of “beautifully expressing Nagasaki’s past. Marble and natural colors were used in the lobby, restaurant, bar, and other common areas of the hotel to express the port and sea of Nagasaki.

Food and beverage outlets include Harbella, an all-day dining restaurant offering a buffet of local and Western cuisine using local ingredients, The Azurite, a bar lounge in the lobby where guests can enjoy afternoon tea and evening cocktails, and De Jima, a signature restaurant serving teppanyaki and Edomae sushi. Signature restaurant De Jima is now open.

The hotel also has Japan’s first Executive Club Lounge, “M Club,” which is available exclusively to Marriott Bonvoy members and executive floor guests, where eligible guests can enjoy complimentary breakfast, all-day refreshments and evening cocktails.

Other facilities include a fitness center equipped with the latest cardio machines, a 162m2 conference room “Nami Chidori” that can be used for business and social gatherings, and an outdoor garden area that can be used for refreshment during your stay.
