TripAdvisor has announced the 2024 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Tourist Attractions. The list was compiled from October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2023, and was selected based on reviews and ratings posted on TripAdvisor.
The ranking is available for all types of activities, including “Popular Tourist Attractions” and “Notable Tourist Attractions,” as well as “Tourist Attractions where you can experience culture,” “Tourist Attractions where you can fully enjoy nature,” and “Tourist Attractions where you can enjoy gourmet food. In addition, “Tourist Attractions Recommended for Honeymoons” and “Sustainable Tourist Attractions” have been newly established this time.
Dubai ranked first in the world for the third consecutive year as the “most popular tourist destination,” while a number of Asian destinations were selected as “hot destinations” that drew particular interest from travelers.
In Japan, Tokyo ranked first in the world as a “hot tourist destination,” 10th in the world as a “tourist destination where you can experience culture,” and 23rd in Asia as a “popular tourist destination. Kyoto was also ranked 22nd in the world among “Tourist Attractions where Visitors can Enjoy Gourmet Food.
