Sumitomo Mitsui Card increases point award rate from 7% to 10% for smartphone touch payments. Seven, McDonald’s, Sukiya, etc.

Sumitomo Mitsui Card offers “10% point rebate without fail! Use your smartphone for touch payment at participating convenience stores and restaurants! Campaign” from January 9 to April 21. The campaign is open to Visa touch payment and Mastercard touch payment with the company’s cards, and entry through the website is required to participate.

Originally, the company offered a 7% point award rate when using smartphone touch payments at participating convenience stores and restaurants such as Seven-Eleven and McDonald’s, but during the period, the rate will be increased by an additional 3% to 10%. Card touch payments are not eligible.

Redemption is made for every 200 yen spent, with a total of 10,000 yen worth of spending (=1,000 points) being the maximum amount of points awarded.
