News Technology and S.RIDE will conduct “New Year’s Eve Taxi 2024,” a limited edition of 100 cabs in Tokyo, from January 1 to 14 as part of a project utilizing the “Canvas” mobility vehicle window media.
During the period, passengers who ride in the “New Year’s Eve Taxi 2024” running in the 23 wards of Tokyo, Musashino and Mitaka areas, and scan the QR code displayed on the tablet terminal in the taxi with a camera will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a luxury prize.
Those eligible to apply are those who have ridden on a taxi with a fare of 2,500 yen or more. The chance of encountering a rare cab is 0.2% (100 out of 47,618 cabs in Tokyo), and is marked by the “New Year’s Eve Taxi 2024” advertisement on the left windowpane at the rear of the cab.
