Seikan Ferry announced that the new vessel “Hayabusa III” (Hayabusa Three) will enter service on January 20, 2024. On that day, the vessel will operate one round trip, departing Hakodate at 14:35 (service 10) and Aomori at 20:30 (service 13), and thereafter will be used for two round trips per day.
It will replace the “Hayabusa III” and is the same type of vessel as the “Hayabusa II,” which will enter service in April 2023. While the design of the “II” vessel was inspired by Hakodate, the “III” vessel features designs related to Aomori, such as apples and sashimi.
The cabin configuration basically follows that of the “HAYABUSA” and “HAYABUSA II,” with reclining 2nd class chair seats, barrier-free chair seats, and private type state rooms in addition to carpeted 2nd class seats.

Discounts include a 500 yen discount on adult passenger fares to 1,700 yen for flights departing between February 1 and March 31. The number of tickets available for each flight will be limited.
