On December 20, DNP and DNP Photo Imaging Japan added an automatic photo adjustment function to the Ki-Re-i Photo photo machine application for online passport applications.
Passport renewal has been available for online application since March 27, but there are detailed regulations (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) regarding the file format and data size of the portrait photo for application.
This update adds the ability to download face photo data taken with the Ki-Re-i photo ID machine to the application and automatically adjust it to the specified format.
The Android version is scheduled to be updated on December 20, while the iOS version will be updated in February 2024 or later to provide this feature.
