Xreal Japan announced that it plans to release the latest version of “Nebula for Windows” software in December, which enables the XREAL Air series of AR glasses to be connected to a Windows PC to create a 3-screen multi-window environment.
The company had released a beta version (0.1.0) of “Nebula for Windows” for XREAL Air (Nreal Air) on Discord at the end of April, but it did not work properly on “XREAL Air 2” released in October and “XREAL Air 2 Pro” released in November XREAL Air 2 Pro, which was released in November.
According to Product Manager Takao Gao, this release is also positioned as a beta version, but it is significant that XREAL Air can now work with the latest models because it allows users to work efficiently in a 3-screen multi-window environment even in cramped spaces on bullet trains and airplanes while traveling. This is a great advantage.
The system requirements for a PC capable of using the latest version are unknown, but the demo shown on December 19 used a gaming PC with reasonable specifications, so it is assumed that a reasonable specification is required to run the game stably.
This time, we were able to experience a demo environment, albeit for a short time. In the previous beta version, pressing the cursor key while holding down the Shift key to select a range of text while typing would cause the display to zoom in and out due to a conflict with keyboard shortcut assignments, but this problem seems to have been resolved in the latest version.
The company will also sell a limited quantity of “XREAL Lucky Bag” from December 20 to January 7, 2024 on its own sales website and Amazon’s official website. The price is 41,980 yen, and one of “XREAL Air + XREAL Beam,” “XREAL Air + XREAL Adapter,” or “XREAL Air + 1 original goods” will be delivered at random.
