Marine Drive has begun general sales of its TRIJET electric water jet. The price is 597,300 yen.
No license is required, and anyone can easily operate the water jet board, which is powered by three electric jet propellers and equipped with a high-capacity 1287Wh lithium-ion battery for up to 24 hours of continuous operation.
The board shape is 146 cm wide and 15 cm thin, specially designed for stability, and can accommodate two adults; it is quieter than a rubber boat equipped with a 2-horsepower gasoline outboard motor, so fish and other creatures do not escape, making it suitable for water activities and fishing. Turns can also be made by remote control.
When not in use, it folds up with the air removed for easy preparation, cleanup, and maintenance.
