Stay at the Sheraton Waikiki, with its outstanding view, and be enchanted by the ocean view that symbolizes Hawaii!

Posted on December 13, 2023 by News Admin

The Hawaii Tourism Authority & Delta Air Lines sponsored a press tour at the end of October under the theme “The Evolution of Royal Hawaii. This article introduces the Sheraton Waikiki, the hotel where we stayed.

Oceanfront rooms with a view of Diamond Head beyond Waikiki Beach

The Sheraton Waikiki is a popular oceanfront hotel that has been welcoming visitors from all over the world since its opening in 1971, In October 2020, all the rooms were renovated, and while they may look the same, they have evolved into comfortable spaces with an emphasis on functionality. Let me start with the room I used this time!

The large artwork on the bedboard is a sight to behold as you step into the guestrooms, which have been remodeled to “feel like you are on Waikiki Beach,” inspired by the ocean and sandy beaches. The flowing blue tones are reminiscent of the Hawaiian ocean, and the bright, modern interior design creates a cozy atmosphere.

The renovations include soundproofing, a new bed height (not too high, but just the right height!), deep soaking tubs in all rooms, TOTO bidet toilets, and easy-to-use handheld showers. The LINE service has also started, and guests can communicate in Japanese during their stay by reading the QR code on the LINE when they check in. If there are any amenities missing in the room, please let us know and we will provide them to you. No need to nervously call the front desk when you find an amenity missing from your room, for example. This is convenient!

Personally, I appreciated the electrical outlets (and USB Type-A/C!) throughout the room. ) throughout the room, and the high hooks near the vanity table were convenient. I hung my Halloween costume on this hook, but it is also supposed to be used to hang a wedding dress.

Water that was provided in plastic bottles is now in pouch form for repeated use, a sustainable approach as well. Water servers are located at the ice cream machines on each floor.

Next to the poolside on the first floor of the Sheraton Waikiki is Honolulu Coffee, a popular chain of cafes serving Kona coffee. Open from early morning, I stopped by after my morning walk to take out an iced coffee. They also had mugs, T-shirts, and other original goods that would make great souvenirs.
