NEXCO Central Japan has released snowfall forecasts for its service area due to rough weather on the Sea of Japan side from November 28. The period covered is from the middle of the day on November 28 to the nighttime on November 30.
The installation of winter tires and the use of tire chains are recommended because even one vehicle that is unable to drive on its own on the highway may cause long traffic jams and road closures.
The latest traffic information can also be found on iHighway Central Japan, the Japan Road Traffic Information Center, and the smartphone application “Michi-Radio”.
